Therapy Supervisor

This position requires a master’s in counseling, Marriage & Family, or Social Work. Licensed preferred. Minimum two (2) years related work experience with adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses and/or co-occurring disorders in an outpatient setting. Some supervisory experience preferred. Experience and/or ability to work with electronic medical records is required. Have working knowledge of the American Psychological Association’s current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, mental illness, its etiology, and its treatment; of human behavior and of supportive counseling and active listening techniques; the principles and practices of mental health counseling and crisis intervention; of behavioral management; experience with Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, CBT; the Florida Mental Health Act, and local resources. Considerable Knowledge of the characteristics and problems of adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses as well as signs and symptoms of substance abuse issues. Bilingual (English/Spanish/Haitian) a plus, but not required.
